5 Songs I Love w/ Autumn Jones

Following the release of her new EP '4.4.4.' we caught up with rising neo-soul artist Autumn Jones to find out more about the music she loves and why. Check out her selection below and if you're a fan of her eclectic mix, you're sure to fall in love with her unique sound!

1. Fingerprints by Hiatus Kaiyote

I’m in love with music that gives me synesthesia.\I can almost feel the texture of Nai Palm’s (lead singer) voice. This song is like a breath of fresh air and is so soulful with powerful lyrics AKA my kryptonite. If you don’t have Hiatus Kaiyote in your music library, do you even really like music?

2. Bittersweet by Lianne La Havas

Wow. That’s the only word I could find after hearing this masterpiece for the first time. Lianne has so much control over her gorgeous voice. I mean a poetic break up song with epic vocals? YES PLEASE

3. Stressed by Doechii

Doechii spoke to my soul in this one and I’m sure some of y'all can relate. Love her rhythms and melodies and still not over her diverse catalog. Rapping, Singing, Pop and Hip Hop, Doechii does it all. This is a great one to put on with a glass of wine and sponge in hand ready to get to those dishes you’ve been putting off for the past 2 weeks.

4. Like That by Emaan & VibeztheProd

If you want a track to drive the scenic route this summer THIS IS MY GO TO! The guitar, the vocals, the lyrics, 10/10. I love music with built in nostalgia and this one hits the mark. If you like up and coming artists (like myself), you’ll dig Emaan!

5. Hurt Me So Good by Jazmine Sullivan

I’ve been listening to Jazmine Sullivan since I was 10 years old and she NEVER MISSES. If I could put the entire Heaux Tales album on this list I would, but Hurt Me So Good is my top track at the moment. Sullivan has so much SOUL in her voice and she is so good at capturing the frustration of having a toxic love.
