5 Songs I Love w/ Bottled Minds

We caught up with Bottled Minds following the release of his new single 'TRENDY'.

Bottled Minds is an independent artist from San Diego, California that started in 2019. Employing elements of pop, r&b, rock, and indie into his music, he has created his own unique sound that separates him from most artists in the mainstream. We found out what 5 songs inspire Bottled Minds. You can listen to his new single 'TRENDY' HERE

1. Dionne by The Japanese House

This is my favorite song at the moment. Without even thinking about it, this song inspires every song I write and produce. It is so beautiful and whenever it always makes me feel as if I am stepping into a different world.

2. 1:45AM by No Rome and Bearface

This song is one that makes me happy to listen to. I love the production and it makes me think about all of the different things you can do with music production. Listening to it feels like listening to someone’s late night thoughts about navigating love.

3. I Like America & America Likes Me By The 1975

I love this song for both its production and what it’s about. It’s a very interesting look at America and its issues from a foreign perspective. I think a lot of what Matty Healy has to say in this song speaks to many Americans and it’s interesting to hear it from such a different perspective.

4. Stargazing by The Neighbourhood

This song always makes me smile and dance whenever I hear it. I love The Neighbourhood’s songwriting and this song is no different. Listening to it always gives me an instant dose of serotonin. Definitely one of my favorites.

5. I’m Not in Love by 10cc

I love the ambience and beauty of this song. For its time, it was one of the most experimental analogue multitrack recordings. Its gorgeous airy sounding atmosphere inspires me to make something so grand and beautiful in my own music. It is an absolutely beautiful piece and was one of the biggest inspirations for me to learn more about sound design in music production.
