5 Songs I Love w/ Jack Durden

Alice Smith

Following the release of his latest single 'Eternity', Flex caught up with alternative artist Jack Durden. Known for blending elements of alternative rock, metalcore, post-grunge, and post-hardcore we wanted to know more about what influences his eclectic sound. If you enjoy Jack's picks be sure to check out 'Eternity' at the end of the article.

1. Nirvana - You Know You're Right

Not the most popular song of the band, but the mood of this song always made me love it more than the others.

2. Bring Me The Horizon - Shadow Moses

Powerful and atmospheric, the first song of the band, which I met more than 10 years ago and which I still like. Moderately technical, without losing its groove and meaning.

3. Linkin Park - Breaking the Habit

My first rock band that I heard and loved. Previously, I liked other songs of this group more, but over time it is this track that evokes the strongest emotions.

4. Marilyn Manson - Killing Stranger

The whole album is different from the usual style and is my favorite album by the artist, but this song especially. Slow, rocking and melodic at the same time.

5. D'Angelo - Unshaken

Lyrics, style and message. A pleasant and calm song that you want to listen to in difficult moments of life.
