Following the release of his new single "Gratitude Song", Flex caught up with Luciano Santos to find out more about what influences his sound. If you enjoy Luciano Santos' picks be sure to check out "Gratitude Song" at the end of the article.
This Town- Niall Horan
"This Town" is my number one because I love the message of it. It was the first Niall Horan song I ever heard and it just gives me a feeling of longing for the past and how things used to be when we were younger. I love the simple arrangement of the song.
Rise Above - Kevin Quinn
"Rise Above" was my top Spotify song of this year and it's about resilience and not giving up. There's a light at the end of the tunnel type of thing. I love how Kevin Quinn is a Christian artist but makes it sound pop, like something you would hear on the radio.
Counting my Blessings - Seph Schlueter
"Counting my blessings" is one of my inspirations for my very own single "Gratitude Song". It's a song of thankfulness and reminding yourself of how God blessed you all throughout these years. If you look around and notice the small things, you'll realize how truly blessed you are.
We can't be friends (wait for your love) - Ariana Grande
I just love how Ariana Vocals here are so tamed and soft because she's usually belting most of the times. I just love the vibe, the music is happy but the lyrics are sad, I love that! I love how this song can resonate not only with relationships but also a job or career or moving to a different location. It's about moving on and leaving the past in the past. The music video for this song is also really cool!
The Show - Niall Horan
This one is one of my top Niall Horan favorites. Niall Horan was my number 1 artist on Spotify this year for the third or fourth time in a row. I love this song because life is really like a show. You appreciate the bad times as well because without it you wouldn't know "how good we have it though".
