5 Songs I Love w/ Moody

Following the release of his ambient new track 'Life' we found out more about the music Moody loves and why! Check out his selection below and listen to 'Life'!

1. Led Zeppelin - Since I've Been Loving You Live at Madison Square Garden

This song is one of the pinnacles of Modern Music. The minor blues progression and the structure which goes from very soft to explosive create an extremely various array of Moods like sadness, anger, love, all beautifully intertwined. Also Plant and Page can give the song a sense of free, spontaneous expression rather than a cold, academic vibe, which would have ruined it.

2. Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond 6-9

Pink Floyd can give a sensation of going crazy while being elegant at the same time, maybe unlike anyone else. This piece with its shuffled rhythm played very gently, with its soft strings coupled with the aggressive guitar give the song a sense of balance which I think it's hardly been achieved by anyone else in the history of Music.

3. Michael Jackson - Threatened

I really like the punch of Drum Machines but they always miss that swing feeling, unless it's Michael Jackson. This song is simply so catchy and it could easily obliterate any hard type hip hop beat in terms of the energy it evokes. Not only that, Michael succeeds in finding a melodious angle to it, which makes it really complete in my opinion.

4. Kids See Ghosts - 4th Dimension

The anticipation this song can give you while being so minimal is astounding. I am really a fan of freestyle, tribal drums, which give a sense of freedom and wildness, also the 30s style swing sample gives it a really unexpected texture, which I really appreciate.

5. Kanye West - Runaway

The way this song starts from a piano melody so simple that it almost sounds ridiculous, towards a majestic arrangement ending in a cold-hearted, fake guitar solo, is really a testament to Kanye's ability to explore a song idea to its fullest while never being boring, a true masterpiece.
