As they build towards the release of their anticipated debut album via Heist Or Hit Records, Brighton trio Nature TV have been building on their already glowing reputation for their unique brand of colourful, chilled, and warmingly soulful indie. We wanted to know more about the tracks they love, the music which influences them, so we spoke with Guy and James from the band to give us 5 of their faves:

Daft Punk - Something About Us

Guy: I don’t know what it is about it. I’ve mad countless big life decisions listening to this song. It’s groovy with love and sadness which is all I really want.

Green Aisles - Real Estate

Guy: In a way, what started it all for me. It’s got everything I’m looking for. The vibe is immaculate. I just drink it in every time.

Fontaines DC - It's Amazing To Be Young

James: Cool to have a modern one in. The band of the moment. I love this tune - my favourite thing about it is the vocals. I’m not quite sure if the main line is satire or not - but it’s a great line and it made me feel quite euphoric.

The Blue Nile - The Downtown Lights

James: This whole album is great - the music is all super romantic sounding - but also quite minimal. and the lyrics seem full of melancholy and regret, it’s deep - love it. This song is quite happy for me though,.

Fleetwood Mac - Brown Eyes

James: Another song that exercises restraint super well. My favourite thing about this tune is how Mick Fleetwood teases bringing in the backbeat/the snare drum all the way through but never gives you more than 1 or 2. Then into the fade out, just before the song finishes, he brings it in, and then suddenly the songs over. All the instrumentation on this track is beautiful. The guitars and keys both have pulsing vibe, and they weave in and out of each other.
