5 Songs I Love w/ Zëta Ræ

Following the release of her latest single '24', Flex caught up with Nashville alternative pop/rock artist Zëta Ræ to find out what influences her eclectic sound. If you enjoy Zëta's picks be sure to check out '24' at the end of the article.

1. Cynthia Erivo: I’m Here (The Color Purple)

This is one of my favorite vocal performances ever. Cynthia’s voice, the way she emotes, down to the way she walks off of the stage… it’s the pinnacle of singing with craftsmanship.

2. Yebba: Tiny Desk (Home) Concert

Another one of my favorite vocal performances ever. Yebba’s  songwriting, her vocal ability, the players, the background singers; it’s perfect and will floor me every time.

3. Jungle: Candle Flame (feat. Erick The Architect) (Official Video)

I’m obsessed with Jungle’s visuals for this album. I love it when artists tap into other art forms through their music videos, and the dancing/ storytelling is so beautifully and artfully done.

4. Tierra Whack: Whack World

The first time I saw whack world I was speechless. The full scale artistry from beginning to end is so insane and I can’t believe this video doesn’t have more views. Tierra’s writing, delivery, fashion, concepts; everything is so unique and so clearly her. Forever obsessed.

5. Charli XCX: 360 (official video)

I’ve been a fan of Charli’s for a long time, and her rollout for BRAT was so exciting to watch. She’s a pop pioneer and such a smart business woman. I love the song, the vignette style video, and the way she incorporated so many people - absolutely genius.
