5 Songs I Love w/ Biopsy O Boutique

With the release of their latest single 'Nettle Kiss', Flex caught up with Italian rockers Biopsy O Boutique to find out more about what influenced their new release . If you enjoy Biopsy O Boutique's picks be sure to check out 'Nettle Kiss' at the end of the article.

1.Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Red Right Hand

We admire Nick Cave for his class and his noir style, he has always been a reference. His sound recalls atmospheres of other eras while remaining always current.

2. Nirvana - In Bloom

Nirvana took the energy and anger from Punk Rock and interpreted these aspects creating a new sound that today we call Grunge. We also try to adopt this approach: taking from existing musical currents and re-proposing them with a new sound.

3. Skip James - Devil Got My Woman

At the beginning of our experience as a band we played songs by the most important Blues artists. Blues has always been our musical and emotional base. The feelings of anger, sadness, but also redemption that this genre transmits are what fascinated us right away and what pushed us to play together. Skip James is a strong reference for us.

4. Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name

The sound of RATM is close to what we try to convey in our concerts. Energy, anger, primordial rhythms.

5. Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child

The physicality and the Voodoo character of Jimi Hendrix's music have always attracted us. His tribal approach in music is what we always try to introduce in our songs, in order to transmit a certain primordial energy to those who listen to us.
