5 Songs I Love W/ Fraser Morgan

Rising east of England singer-songwriter Fraser Morgan has just release the painfully heartfelt yet musically vibrant new EP 'I Hope You Can't Relate'. Showcasing heart on the sleeve lyricism touching on topics of mental health and self healing, the EP brings together folk instrumentation with some radiantly catchy melodies to deliver a stellar five tracks highlighting exactly the elements which make Fraser such a unique and popular artist.

We wanted to know more about what music inspires Fraser Morgan. Over to Fraser to talking about five of his favourites:

Medium Build - Beach Chair

One of my all-time favourite artists and someone who I keep in my mind as an inspiration to keep on hammering away at my own music. They wrote this song as a kind of love letter to themselves and it really speaks to me, y'know when someone writes something and you're like "get outta my head", that's this x1000.

Armoured Man - Storms

The most un-skippable song I've ever heard. Every time it comes on shuffle it gets my complete undivided attention. It's raw, it's honest, it's vulnerable, it makes you hold a mirror up to yourself and shows you wounds you didn't know you had. Every time I hear them play it feels like I'm staring into a fire.

Two Day Coma - Thanks a Lot

This band are supremely underrated. I've been having a massively awful time lately and I came across this song and it couldn't have summed up what I was going through anymore perfectly. Exceptional songwriters.

Kick The Clown - New Devil

Probably hands-down the best band I've ever seen live. I have a whole playlist just for their tunes. If you ever wanna rock out and headbang yourself within an inch of whiplash in your car to release some tension on the way to work I highly recommend you give all their tunes a spin.

Petey - Lean Into Life

Whenever I'm going through it, this gets put on at maximum volume. Petey's that kind of artist you hate because of how clever and niche their lyricism is. Sometimes you just gotta lean into life a bit.
