5 Songs I Love w/ Summon Luke

Experimental rock artist Summon Luke recently unveiled the fantastical new single 'Milky Way'. Featuring the title track and the B-side 'No Shelter', we got an insight into the enthralling music of this up and coming artist. We caught up with Summon Luke to find out a bit more about his musical loves. Check out 5 of his favourite tunes below and don't miss the new video for 'Milky Way'!

1. Anamanaguchi - Endless Fantasy

I love the energy and the arrangement of this song. I'm always interested with how artists start albums and this is a particularly great track!

2. Yo La Tengo - Moby Octopad

The harmonies and interplay between the three singers in Yo La Tengo are on full display here. Also, the experimental guitar and piano work provide amazing texture.

3. Pink Floyd - Run Like Hell

The drum and bass groove for Run like hell is perfect. I love the space Pink Floyd creates, and this song is a perfect example of that.

4. M83 -- Graveyard Girl

I always describe M83 as a shoegaze band in disguise. Many think of them as electronic or dance, but listen to the guitars on this song! The tones, and the lush layers are up          there with the best guitar bands.

5. Radiohead -- You and Whose Army

I take a lot of songwriting cues from Radiohead. I love their structures, and how they don't conform to verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge/chorus yet they're still able to write catchy rock songs. This song is a great example of that.
