Swedish synth-pop sensation Vanbot makes her highly-anticipated comeback with her latest album, 'How Could I Prepare For This.' Featuring ten stunning new tracks, the album takes listeners on a journey through the ups and downs she experienced during her hiatus from music. We wanted to know which five songs most inspire and connect with Vanbot.
1. The Blaze - Virile
I've watched this one so many times. I love the atmosphere and the scenes, the sense of loneliness, and the whole world captured in a single room. I think this is a perfect example of a great but simple story filling the whole space.
2. The Knife - Pass This On
A new era when it comes to music videos. The portraits are brilliant and fit so well with the song.
3. Salvatore Ganacci - Horse
I discovered Solvatore pretty recently. I love his artistic work, the footage, and the colors. It's so unique in so many aspects and it's hard to say if the music is a soundtrack to the video, or if the video is a complement to the music.
4. M.I.A. - Bad Girls
This is an oldie, but I still come back to this video every now and then. I remember it took my breath away. When it was first released, I was just so knocked by the energy, the locations, and the flow.
5. Susanne Sundfør - White Foxes
A friend of mine, Mats Udd, did this one long ago. I remember thinking it was so beautiful that he captured the Scandinavian mood in a perfect tune. I love the references to Roy Andersson and how it blends horror with melancholy.
