Alex Stanilla has released his new single ‘Crab’, providing another addition to his quirky indie-pop catalogue. With introspective lyrics and soaring vocals, ‘Crab’ provides a nostalgic atmosphere as it shifts between the discordance of the verses and the catchy melodies of the hook. The Philadelphia-based artist is unafraid to explore uncharted soundscapes, and the result is a bold and cohesive sonic style unlike anything else on the market.
Discussing his new release, Alex reveals: “Inspired by a fun but frivolous week at the beach that regularly pops up in my daily reveries. When I was a teenager I glorified the idea of a drugs and sex vacation with friends to write songs about but after having a few realized they don't really inspire anything worthwhile. This song has become a cautionary tale for me reminding me most things don't turn out the way I fantasize about them.”
