Following a busy period touring across North America, Europe and the United Kingdom, soul-pop aficionado Alexander Nate gears up to release the deluxe edition of his latest EP There’s No Signal In The Mountains as he unveils new single ‘Rescue Me’.
Cutting deep grooves with his Ethiopian-American background, the Virginia-based Nate has continued to grow with each new release. With his last EP amassing over eight million streams, the deluxe edition aims to grow the album's reach and cement Alexander as one of the most exciting rising stars in his game. ‘Rescue Me’ is brimming with emotive lyricism and soft rhythms as he tells the tales of love, lust and romance. The track comes packaged with silky rhodes keys adding to its soulful tones as illusive synthesisers paint beauty over Nate’s sonic canvas. Dripping with his signature soulful tones, the track is one of his most boundary-pushing efforts yet as it lies at the crossroads of pop, soul and R&B.
Speaking about the new single and the forthcoming deluxe EP, Alexander adds “Once tour was finished, I knew I had to head back to the mountains to be able to finish the deluxe. Something about the silence out there that makes it easier to hear what I’m trying to say. The first song that came out of that time was “Rescue Me”. The melody started playing in my head as I was driving through the trees. By the time I got there, I knew exactly what I wanted to say with this song.”
