Aliiias' new single 'Easy’ is another showcase of the warm electronica production the artist has garnered renown for. Chopping up brass into a mystical backdrop of cascading piano melodies and warm harmonies, the artist uses the contrast between natural and electronic to switch between off-kilter drum patterns and a steady pounding kick drum, setting the woozy feel and straight-laced DAW production at odds for a really clean effect. As the vocals rise and more pulsating synths appear, the battle reaches an emotive climax, the lead lines never feeling completely settled until the last moments.
Aliiias adds, "This song is about loving someone that you'll never be able to love in person again. It's about watching a long-term relationship rust and dissolve through your very fingers. Ultimately I could sit around and mope about it for years, but as always putting these emotions into this track (music in general) made something meaningful for me, and hopefully others going through similar situations of heartbreak can resonate with it."
Aliiias has built renown for a dynamic fusion of trap and future bass, the Canadian takes an inventive approach to music creation. Growing up just outside of Toronto, a city he now calls home, his initial soirée in video editing caused an immediately unique technique in his production. Influenced by industry icons like Deadmau5, Porter Robinson, Dillon Francis, and PROXY, Aliiias has spent a decade crafting complex sound designs that resonate with passion and strength, with his third album now crossing the horizon.
