Arkayla Announces Melodic New Indie Anthem ‘Ella Malone’

Admin

There have been few groups to provide such an exciting string of singles this year other than Arkayla. The indie five-piece have been turning the heads of thousands of listeners worldwide after being championed by a whole host of leading musical tastemakers - including the likes of Elbow’s Guy Garvey and Radio X’s John Kennedy.

Gentle guitar arpeggios pave the way for the track's alluring melodies to pour out into the soundwaves. The single, one of the earliest pieces of material written by the group, brings a nostalgic edge to an otherwise contemporary sonic show. Building on the pop-tinged soundscapes of The Smiths and The Strokes to forge something that still feels distinctively unique and exciting.

Speaking about the track, the group's guitarist, Fin, explains, “Anyone who has been a long-time follower of our band knows just how long this song has been around. We first wrote it back in 2018 before we even had a clear vision for what we would be as a group. It’s been a fan favourite at all our live shows, in fact I don't think we've ever played a gig without it. To finally be able to say it's out now after all these years is just mad. we hope you love it as much as we do.”
