Arkayla are back with their latest anthem ‘Lost In A Valentine’ as they propel themselves as the latest heroes on the scene. Since the band's formation in 2020, the band have turned the heads of the industry in such a short space of time as they’ve emerged with the backing of Elbow’s Guy Garvey of Radio X’s John Kennedy.
Complete with its whirling guitar layers, and emphatically charged delivery, Arkayla look to take centre stage with their sensational ability to deliver powerful pop songs that feel just as exciting as they do interesting. Inspired by a set of influences spanning decades, the group are starting off exactly where The Smiths finish - and are carrying the torch twice as high. Complete with hook, melody and tireless rhythm, there is simply nothing that this track doesn’t offer. With a string of singles so strong under their belts at such an early stage in their career, it won’t be long before Arkayla is the name on everyone's lips.
Speaking about the creative process behind the track, guitarist Fin comments, “The initial idea we had for Lost In A Valentine was a proper tender acoustic ballad, We weren't really sure where to go with it until we came up with the bassline, which instantly gave it that fiery energy you find across a lot of our music. It's an ode to love, escapism and the self-loathing a lot of people feel about their hometowns.”
