With radio stations and Spotify playlisters across the US already lapping up his previous releases over the last few months, singer and songwriter Austin Riddle is now looking to do much of the same again as he delivers his latest offering 'Rip City'.
Taking cues from an 80s RnB direction and blending with bright and contemporary production gives his new single a very distinct feel. Taking his own sweet and soaring vocals and merging them with killer beats and a sweeping aesthetic sees him return with one of his most warm and heartfelt tracks to date.
Adding about the release, he said, “This song is a story about being separated over the few months of quarantine over a crooning melody that is meant to convey pain, but is infused with hope. The narrative is built around one that is yearning for the rejoining of their significant other in "RIP CITY", a pop-culture reference to the city of Portland.”
