Rising singer-songwriter Avery Lynch releases her heartfelt new single 'the boys who don’t know what they want'. Known for her deeply emotional piano-driven ballads, Avery continues to captivate listeners worldwide, adding to her impressive catalogue, which has already garnered over 100 million streams.
'the boys who don’t know what they want' captures the vulnerability and frustration of navigating relationships with indecisive partners. With minimal production and Avery’s enchanting vocals at the forefront, the track offers a raw and relatable narrative that speaks to shared experiences in love and heartbreak.
Avery explains the inspiration behind the song: “The title of the song really says it all. I wrote this song about those ‘almost’ relationships that I’ve been in myself and have observed around me—people acting the part of someone in a relationship while not wanting one, or wanting a relationship but not acting on it. It’s a sister-song to ‘you’re just a guy,’ and like that song, this doesn’t feel specifically sad to me—it feels matter-of-fact. It’s just something I’ve observed that we’ve all experienced and don’t want to experience anymore.”
