Brighton's genre-bending post-punk rockers, School Disco, have unleashed their highly anticipated new album, 'Denton Rock.' Having previously supported acclaimed acts like Wolf Alice, Froth, Lime Garden, and Frankie and the Witch Fingers, School Disco has captured the attention of tastemakers across the UK music scene. Their latest musical offering, 'Denton Rock,' promises to be a sonic journey that pushes boundaries and tackles pressing societal issues.
Formed in 2016 in Brighton, with roots tracing back to Plymouth, School Disco draws inspiration from a diverse range of influences, including the legendary Black Sabbath and avant-garde pioneers like CAN. Their creative wellspring also flows from the deep currents of sci-fi literature and the eerie world of H.P. Lovecraft.
Recorded at Sour Grapes Records in Denton, Manchester, 'Denton Rock' stands as a testament to School Disco's evolution as musicians. The album's first teaser single, 'Feelings Coming,' sets the stage with its gritty instrumentals, energetic guitar lines, and haunting vocals reminiscent of Joy Division's Ian Curtis.
With 'Denton Rock,' School Disco cements their status as musical trailblazers, addressing crucial societal issues while delivering an album that's unique, captivating, and emblematic of their growth as artists.
Released ahead of their upcoming UK tour, 'Denton Rock' is available in digital, vinyl, and CD formats through Copper Feast Records and Krautpop! Records.
