Brighton-based rock outfit Fever Rouge continue their meteoric rise with the announcement of their upcoming EP Feed The Villain, set for release on April 4th. As a thrilling preview, the band has dropped the dark and electrifying title track.

Blending elements of post-punk, indie, rock, and alt-rock, Fever Rouge have built a strong reputation for their high-energy live performances, selling out headline shows and earning critical acclaim. Drawing influence from iconic acts such as King Krule, Radiohead, Bloc Party, and The Stone Roses, their upcoming EP encapsulates the raw, powerful yet deeply considered musicianship that has captivated their growing fanbase.

Produced by Oliver Hughes, Josh Harrison, and Louis Spanton, ‘Feed The Villain’ delves into the complexities of human nature, exploring the tension between impulse and morality. The track’s driving bass riff and swirling psychedelic guitars create an ever-building sense of suspense before erupting into a visceral, high-impact chorus. The song intensifies as it progresses, closing with a wall of fuzzy guitar tones and relentless energy.

Speaking on the track, the band explains its deeper meaning: “The song at face value is a celebration of indulgence, but it’s also a critique. In today’s world, selfishness is too common—whether in politics, corporate greed, or daily life. The EP explores the different sides of the ‘villain,’ challenging listeners to recognize and confront it before it’s too late.”

Fever Rouge’s reputation as a must-see live act continues to grow. Having sold out venues such as Brighton’s Green Door Store and The Prince Albert, while also securing slots at The Alternative Escape and Pub in the Park. Their impressive list of support slots includes performances alongside The Molotovs, Pleasure Inc, Mouth Culture, Die Twice, and even McFly.

Following the release of Feed The Villain, Fever Rouge will embark on their Villain Tour this April, bringing their dynamic performances to cities across the UK and Ireland, with European dates to follow. Additionally, the band is set to appear at this year’s Wilderness Festival.
