Casey Carmichael is back, returning to releasing music with the honest new single ‘Hold My Hand’. Love-drenched and poignant, the folk track is delivered with a warm glow. Bouncy acoustic guitar chords are joined with a rich vocal performance, flowing from moment to moment with a captivating atmosphere. The single is beautifully uncomplicated, though the raw musicianship on show is impressive, creating so much out of so little.
Casey explains the single, “Hold My Hand is about overcoming difficult circumstances. We face many challenges throughout life, and when you face these challenges with your partner, it is up to you to reassure them that everything is going to be okay. This song focuses on sticking together through it all and focusing on the light at the end of the tunnel.”
Becoming known for his folk and country-influenced sound and ‘four chords and the truth’ approach to songwriting, Casey has developed from an R&B and Jazz musical style upon his graduation from Berklee College of Music, to his newfound love for the likes of John Denver, James Taylor, Keb’ Mo’ and Tom Petty. Inspired by his love for his wife and daughter, Casey continues to perform across his home city of Atlanta.
