Following the success of their breakout EP 'Bones', Catlea returns with 'Language Barrier', a striking debut album that weaves together indie-pop and rock with a deeply introspective edge; exploring the complexities of miscommunication, emotional turbulence, and ultimately, self-discovery.

At the heart of this release is the lead single 'Why Them?', a meticulously crafted piece that blends infectious melodies with thought-provoking lyricism. Known for their ability to craft intricate narratives within their music, Catlea delivers a song that is as catchy as it is contemplative, setting the tone for an album that examines the emotional intricacies of fractured relationships.

Spending three years shaping and refining the ten-track offering, Catlea worked alongside producer Jason Boshoff (Ed Sheeran, Josh Groban, Rufus Wainwright) and Oscar Garcia-Bragado of Room to Studios in Barcelona. The result is a sonically rich and emotionally raw collection of songs that mirror the journey from anger to understanding. With each track, Catlea moves through the stages of heartbreak, using their artistry to turn personal struggles into something universally relatable.

Having already earned praise from Notion, Wonderland, and Earmilk, as well as amassing over 10 million streams and a dedicated following, Catlea is proving that their music resonates on a broad scale. 'Language Barrier' is an emotional excavation, a testament to the power of finding one’s voice even in the midst of chaos. If this record is any indication, Catlea is poised to leave an enduring mark on the indie music landscape.
