Leicester-born singer-songwriter Charlie Plews has unveiled his new single 'Nothing Changes' — a punchy alt-rock anthem wrapped in vibrant pop sensibilities. Taking cues from the likes of Declan McKenna, The 1975, and Olivia Rodrigo, Plews blends youthful commentary with anthemic choruses and a sharp sense of modern identity.

'Nothing Changes' sees Plews turning up the volume and embracing a grittier sonic palette, coupling crunching guitars and driving rhythms with his signature slick vocal delivery. It’s a bold step forward from his earlier, more stripped-back work — one that leans into the energy of pop-punk while keeping a polished indie edge.

Lyrically, the track dives headfirst into the world of influencer culture and the repetitive, sometimes vapid cycles of online life. “It’s a reaction to how we all live through screens now,” says Plews. “We watch the same stories play out over and over again — perfectly curated versions of people’s lives, designed for likes and dopamine hits. It’s about how easy it is to get caught up in that, and how exhausting it is too.”
