US indie-pop favourite Chloe Moriondo returns with her latest single hate it', the second preview of her highly anticipated new album 'oyster', set for release on March 28th. The track follows last month’s 'shoreline'.
Describing the fiery new single, Chloe shares, “hate it is the classic ‘Chloe wants to kill someone’ song of the album. It’s my fun, fun song about having so much envy for someone that it turns into a crush/murderous hatred ♡ I LOVE it and I hope everyone who listens also does!!!”
Crafted in the wake of major life changes, Oyster is a bold and emotionally charged collection of songs that see Moriondo blending her signature earnest balladry, hyperpop chaos, cathartic pop-punk, and shimmering indie-pop into a sound uniquely her own. Written with a close-knit team of collaborators, including Jonah Summerfield (Holly Humberstone, Tommy Lefroy), Chloe Kraemer (The Japanese House), and AfterHrs, the record takes listeners through heartbreak, healing, and the thrill of self-discovery.
Speaking on the album, Chloe adds, “I’m so fucking ecstatic for this album to be out. I’ve been yearning to release it since its conception and I’m bursting at the shell trying not to leak it all now. It’s full of vulnerability, frivolous crushes, despair, parties, and 17 billion tons of salt water. The world is my oyster, and soon it will be yours too!! ♡”
