Circuit Faker Presents New Single 'Ocular Therapy'

Circuit Faker’s new single ‘Ocular Therapy’ is a testament to his artistic development as a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and electronic producer.

‘Ocular Therapy’ was produced, mixed, and engineered at a home studio by Circuit Faker. Serving as the opening track of his debut forthcoming album, CIRCUMVOLVE,  the electronica offering has an energetic and vibrant production.

Circuit Faker started having dreams about how beautiful the world was outside his four walls. He questioned whether he would ever be able to see the world the same way because there was no indication that the lockdown during the global pandemic of COVID-19 would end. This gave rise to the idea of ‘Ocular Therapy’.

He is a multi-genre artist who combines loud beats, soaring vocals, and buzzing synths. He also pulls from his experiences in the bands Wiping Out Thousands, Tired Tongues, and The New Monarchs.

Justin Shen, a videographer, made a music video to go with the tune. In the summer of 2023, Taylor came onto Shen's work. Shen's hyper-lapse footage drew him in right away, especially the jerky frame-lapse scenes. Taylor had long wanted to do a music video for the song ‘Ocular Therapy’, and Shen's approach, with its focus on repeating patterns, was a good fit. The music video explores the patterns present in both of our realities—the parallels seen in the great magnificence of the outside world and the recurrence of the ordinary.

“‘Ocular Therapy’ was the first demo track I began working on under the moniker Circuit Faker. Though it wasn't the first track to be completed, it became the best possible introduction to—and summation of—what Circuit Faker is,” Circuit Faker comments on the release.
