New York grunge-punk duo Crispus Attucks and The Love Muskets are back with their sensational new EP ‘...and the War Came’. Returning with their unflinchingly honest approach to songwriting, the latest EP is the band's first offering since the release of their acclaimed second album ‘Reimagination’ in 2022.
Emerging back into the limelight with their own brand of, grunge enthused, political rock anthems, it is safe to say Crispus Attucks and The Love Muskets are well and truly back. The EP is an emphatic offering complete with bold backbeats and riotous guitar. The group pays homage to a decade-spanning set of legendary influences with Cobain-esque delivery and a dynamic wall of sound. From the first note all the way through to the last beat, ‘...and the War Came’ entwines meaningful lyrics with distorted guitar lines as the band makes their mark upon the airwaves.
The band explains, “Creating ‘…and the War Came’ was an intensive and rewarding journey that spanned over a year. We started crafting this song with a vision to encapsulate the political divisions of our time, aiming to convey both the challenges and the resilience we see around us. We believe this song has the potential to spark meaningful conversations and we're committed to reaching as many listeners as possible”.
