Dolce Blue share the emotional turmoil of ‘Sweet Melancholy’

Dolce Blue’s Sweet Melancholy Deluxe is finally out, the original was released just over a year ago and proving to be a catalyst for Dolce’s recognition. The unique sombre brightness and wistful gloom of their sound are used in full effect for the extra seven tracks, some original and some re-works, to make some of the most gorgeously energising and heart-wrenching music we’ve seen. Their intricate production evokes perfectly this acceptance of sadness, the romanticisation of emotional turmoil. With over an hour of music to let your ears marinate in, it’s well worth a listen.

Veronica, lead vocalist, shares, “Sweet Melancholy has been a really special release for Dolce Blue, and we felt we weren't quite ready to move on from it yet - but rather celebrate it further with a deluxe rendition. I hope listeners can get a new appreciation for the album and find something new that is hopefully interesting and relatable.”

Dolce Blue harbours a distinct blend of indie-pop and alt-rock consistently delivering heartfelt infectiousness. Hailing from Kalamunda, Western Australia, the band comprises high school friends Veronica Zurzolo, Daniel Taylor, Lachlan Casey and Brody Honey, taking on vocals, bass, guitar and drums. Creating memorable music since their debut ‘New White Sneakers’, since the release of their sophomore album, the originally Sweet Melancholy, they truly picked up, with airplay across national radio further enchanting listeners.
