ERIEL INDIGO returns with fiery single ‘Rebel Bell’

Back with her first single after two years spent away from releasing music, ERIEL INDIGO has recently released a new track that embraces a new direction entitled ‘Rebel Bell’. Top open the track, synth plucks are played with both a dazzling lead and deep, aggressive bass tone, with percussive synths providing a counter melody. These lines are built upon with more distorted synths and heavy hitting kicks as the lead vocal enters the fray. The track steadily builds up around you, with new instruments entering every few bars and slight changes in rhythm and melody enticing you into more high-octane soundscapes. Vocally, ERIEL takes on a triumphant leader of a rebel cause, with the song being a forceful, momentous, musical speech accented with lush yet eerie harmonies from her soaring backing vocals. This new sound expands past what we’ve heard before into interesting new directions that mark a new era for LA artist.

Eriel shares, “I believe that it’s essential that unifying music be propped up and that more artists who address difficult issues are given a platform for our messages to be shared with a society struggling to process and reunify. The arts have always been an important arena for confronting who we are, asking important questions, and sharing powerful ideas. This rings true to me now more than ever. Music connects culture, creativity, and open dialogue. With this song, I am starting, albeit in a playful way, what I consider to be an important discussion and I’m excited for listeners to accept my invitation, regardless of what reaction it might provoke in their hearts.”

The LA-based creative activist has built a reputation for her uniqueness and commitment to immersing her listeners in audiovisual experiences. Socially conscious in her lyricism, she aims to shake up the system, empowering audiences to rebel and think for themselves using the genres of hip-hop, punk and alt-pop to achieve this. High-energy and tastemaker backed, the artist is one to watch for the next era of cream of the crop artists.
