Fright Years unleash indie rom-com in single ‘Evil’

Meeting by chance over a double-booked practice room, Fright Years have emerged from Edinburgh as a band to keep an eye on. Support from across the industry and performances at the likes of Ynot?, FOCUS Wales and Stag and Dagger have all fuelled a feverish anticipation for the future of the young indie rockers thanks to their anthemic songwriting.

The four-pieces latest release is ‘Evil’, further embedding powerful pop sensibilities as a part of their musical identity. The subtle forcefulness in the soaring lead vocals is backed by the dynamic lead guitar lines and chugging rhythm section that explodes into a stadium-filler by the chorus.

The band comment, “Evil is our indie rom-com. It's about trying to make someone fall in love with you and maintaining power in the dating stage - but in the end, you can't control your feelings. Think Andie in ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 days'.”
