Gaucho and Hennessy Continue to Champion Emerging Talent with Grassroots Music Lates Series

Following the success of their debut Grassroots Music Lates series, Gaucho and Hennessy are set to bring live music back to the heart of London, offering a captivating night of performances at Gaucho’s flagship Piccadilly restaurant on October 25th, 2024. This ongoing collaboration between the UK’s premier steakhouse and the world-renowned cognac brand showcases rising artists while delivering a premium dining experience, expertly curated cocktails, and intimate performances.

Dedicated to supporting local talent, the Grassroots Music Lates series provides a crucial platform for emerging musicians at a time when the live music scene is facing significant challenges, with more than 120 UK venues closing in the past year. The series creates a space for breakthrough acts to connect with intimate audiences, making live music accessible to both new listeners and loyal followers alike.

The October 25th event will spotlight two standout female artists. First up is Velysia, an R&B sensation from Norfolk, whose powerful vocals and commanding stage presence have made waves in the UK. Known for her soulful collaborations with artists like Karen Harding, Velysia’s music has already been featured in major advertising campaigns for brands like Mercedes and PlayStation.

Joining her is Maeve, the frontwoman of Brighton’s rising band Kuuda, whose acoustic set will bring a refreshing contrast to the evening. Kuuda has rapidly gained attention for their collaborations with dance music producers like Sam Divine and Yousef, earning support from electronic music icons Rufus Du Sol and having their music showcased at Coachella 2024. Maeve’s stripped-back performance promises to showcase her raw talent in a more intimate setting.

The Grassroots Music Lates series reflects the dedication of Gaucho and Hennessy to celebrating diversity and talent, offering tickets at just £20 to ensure accessibility. With London’s live music venues facing uncertainty, this series provides a beacon of hope for the capital’s music culture.

Doors open at 7:30pm, with performances running until 10:00pm. Early booking is recommended, as tickets are limited for this one-of-a-kind event that brings live music back into the heart of the city.
