Go Hawaii Unleash Their Long-awaited New EP ‘Auburn’

Admin

Hot on the heels of a busy comeback in 2024, Go Hawaii have been quick to reaffirm themselves as the exciting bedroom-pop duo to look out for on the underground scene. Showing no signs of slowing down, the duo unveil their latest EP ‘Mangy’ as they look to continue pushing forward in their sonic careers.

Consisting of five tracks, each of which showing a unique side to the band's approach to songwriting, the new EP feels just as affirming as it does poignant. Entwining colourful melodies within reverb-laden vocal lines, the band shine on their original compositions, including previous singles ‘Auburn’ and ‘Days Wasted’ whilst showing their versatility to adapt on their cover of The Smiths’ seminal hit ‘There Is A Light That Never Goes Out’

Commenting on the project, the band explain, “This EP feels like a bridge from our first album, which was the first time we put together a complete effort as a band. With this record, though, you’ll hear hints of what’s coming next. A song like Santa Barbara really shows that growth—we put our best effort into it. From the synths to the drums and guitars, everything was written in a more intentional and professional way, at least that’s what we aimed for. We’re really happy with how it turned out, and it marks an exciting new chapter for us.”
