Honey Motel burst into life in ‘When We Die, We Die’

Bursting onto the scene with their irresistible psych-infused pop, Honey Motel are back with their second single ‘When We Die, We Die’. The track is drenched in energy and infectious melodies. Between the frenzied riffs, plucky melodies and twinkling arpeggios, the sea of guitar harmony dances along the driving drums and warm bass grooves. Vocally, the lead is impassioned and confident, backed up with cries of vocal harmony just behind it for an extra layer of ferocity.

The band share, "Life is never what it seems when you are a youngster. It always turns out in a much more nuanced way. What you perceive as a nipper is too simple, obvious, and predictable. Life is much more complex, and that complexity is beautiful. Even with all our knowledge of the universe and science, nobody knows what awaits across the other side, I am pretty sure it’s nothing. But I am also pretty unsure of that surety. Either way, I can’t live my life with fear, anxiety, and apprehension of tomorrow. The finite nature of life is the exact quality which makes it beautiful. When it’s done, it's done. So, spend your money, be who you're meant to be. When it's over, it's over."

The four-piece is made up of Sam Meredith, Matt Walker, Jack Hughes and Lew Fogg, taking their eclectic indie influences and fusing them into new and exciting atmospheres. Backed by the press and supporting the likes of Gathering of Strangers and Sundara Karma, Honey Motel are making a serious splash, both in the home city of Liverpool and farther afield.
