Fresh off the back off springs ‘Don’t Cry Yet’, Immi Dash is back with her sensational new single ‘Hardest To Impress’ as she steps up to cement herself as one of the most exciting young R&B talents in her game. Fresh off the back of performances in Liverpool and Bristol, Dash is showing no signs of slowing down as she takes her game to the next level.
Drifting into action with its airy soundscape, it’s not long before Immi Dash’s silky vocal delivery and emphatic R&B enthused beats take centre stage. Written about self-inflicted pressures to live upto self-inflicted standards, ‘Hardest To Impress’ utilises Dash’s trademark liquified melodies and ethereal harmonies to create a single that feels as ardent as it does heartfelt. It’s this authentic artistry that has propelled Dash to new heights, turning the heads of Radio 1 and Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition in the process.
Speaking about the unfeigned nature of the release, Dash explains “‘Hardest To Impress’ is about the unnecessary pressures we place on ourselves to be perfect,” Immi explains. “Alba Arias (the producer & co-writer) and I had a heart-to-heart about how we’re constantly looking towards the next thing, without allowing ourselves to be grateful in the moment. This song represents letting go of those pressures and high expectations.”
