Hey BLUUR! sum up your sound for us in three words please?
Carefree, Intense, and Fun.
'No Warning' is your huge latest single, what do you want your listeners to take away from this one?
Break free from what society expects of you. Be yourself, enjoy your life. Coming from a corporate environment it’s easy to fall into the trap of societal norms and corporate expectations. At any point life can hit you without warning. Wake up! Life is short.
What was the recording and writing process like?
The writing process was pretty interesting, it started off with a royalty free acapella and when I listened to the vocals, I never expected to make such an intense drop. When I’m writing I pretty much let my mind take me through a journey. At the time, I just wanted to wake everybody up, and make people feel something again.
It's such a strong and mind-bending single, is this your most vibrant release to date would you say?
I would say this is the most intense track I’ve released thus far. At first I wasn’t going to release it because I didn’t feel it was time; however, as an artist, I don’t think I’m ever fully satisfied with a song. Sometimes I have to play it a few times live to see how people react before I feel like releasing it to the public. Whenever I play the song live, everyone vibes with the song and enjoys it.
What made you want to create music in the first place and finally, please give us info on where our readers can follow BLUUR!
Music was an outlet. In 2016 I had a tragic loss in the family, the only way I could cope was finding my escape through music. At the time I was making melodic bass, but sometime during Covid, I felt like I needed a chance to really start over. Making music was an escape for myself. Losing a family member made me really want to make a melodic EP so I could be attuned with my emotions. One day I’ll share and disclose that side of myself and the music.
