Hey Bosaya + Tony B, welcome to FLEX! How are you doing? “AYA” was actually recorded before your debut single, “Open Your Eyes.” What made you decide to release it as a follow-up rather than the first single?
Hi, we wanted to build up momentum! We were in the process of finishing the video for the song AYA, as we used several locations in different states across America. We thought that by releasing the first song, we would warm up the audience and then release our main single, and that turned out to be right. We are very grateful that Laura & Mike Paulus believed in us; they were the first to support us. The song was included in many playlists and reached over 1 million views on YouTube in a relatively short time.
What does “AYA” mean to each of you personally, and how do you hope listeners connect with its message?
AYA - this name and sound will resonate in every soul, as the meaning of this word is known at all levels of civilisation.
The name AYA is like an ancient call of our ancestors; anyone who hears it will instantly feel something familiar and want to sing along. AYA can inspire human consciousness. If you read it in all the languages of the world, you'll see that it embodies the power of a strong spirit. Nature plays a significant role in the amazing video. How does it tie into the song’s themes of awakening and finding your purpose?
The appeal to nature and interaction with it is one of the important things on Earth. We are conduits for our planet, and different energies flow through us. We are all essentially luminous beings from the source, but sometimes we have to experience negative energies that need to be transformed within ourselves and turned into love. The oceans, mountains, trees, and the Earth help us with this; we need to listen more often to our home called Earth; this is a collective awakening. Our song intertwines with the sound of AYA, like the vibrations of the Earth and the galaxy. We also communicate with nature and interact through singing and sound; we are one whole.

Who are your biggest influences?
Recently, as an artist, I pay more attention to myself. Of course, many people have influenced my music, but the most significant are the good people I’ve met along the way—teachers, parents, friends, and loved ones. When I was little, I always wanted to imitate the stars. Now that I have rediscovered my path, I want to listen to what resonates in my heart and what my soul transmits to this world.
The production blends haunting hooks and immersive soundscapes. Can you share any details about the creative decisions that went into crafting this polished yet transcendent sound?
All of this came together thanks to our music producer, Vadim Zariuta. I simply hummed the melody and the AYA motif, which led to the creation of the chorus; the producer helped enhance the sound. Then we presented the song to the renowned producer Tommy Gee, who had worked with the band One Direction, and he liked our song. He recorded a piano part and laid down the bass line. Everything seemed to be going well, but there was always a feeling that something was missing. After a few months, we met Tony B, who spontaneously created an amazing rap, and it all fit perfectly! When Vadim heard how he freestyled over our song, he couldn't sleep peacefully anymore. After that, we recorded a duet together, resulting in our single, which many listeners enjoyed! Thanks to this track, our audience grew even more.
As you prepare for your live shows, are there any unique elements or surprises fans can look forward to during your performances?
Yes, of course. Our listeners immerse themselves in an unusual atmosphere that begins a cappella, drawing the audience into the depths of a self-discovery story. Then our rhythms build and build, making people dance as they delve deeper and deeper into our world of music. The audience can hear Bosaya's very high voice combined with Tony B's rap, which leaves no one indifferent. It’s almost like a little spectacle where the audience becomes a participant.
And finally, you’ve hinted at more projects underway. Can you give us a sneak peek into what’s next for BOSAYA and Tony B in 2025?
In 2025, we are preparing a series of concerts with a conceptual show, which will take place in Washington State and Arizona. Then we will head to Costa Rica and Italy. We will also release a few more songs with Tony B and attend music festivals. Stay tuned, and we thank everyone for inspiring us to move forward!
