Hila Rabby is a singer-songwriter, composer and pianist born in Jerusalem, Israel, now based between Tel-Aviv and New York City. Influenced heavily by Radiohead and Massive Attack, she combines these with her own unique take on music and the limitless ideas that come along with it. The result is breathtaking, as she has just shared her debut album 'Visions' with lead single 'Time To Wake Up' setting a special tone. We sat down with Hila to learn more about it, exclusively for FLEX:
Hey Hila, welcome to FLEX How are you?
I’m doing good! very happy about the release of the new album ‘Visions’.
Could you describe your sound & style for any of our readers who may not have heard of you before?
As I’m influenced by artists of various styles of music, I can say I’m naturally drawn to the fusion between acoustic and electronic sounds, and I feel like I can easily express myself through this combination.
Give us a fun fact about yourself we can’t find from Google/social media!
I’m obsessed with Sally Rooney’s books.
Please tell us all about your new album 'Visions' and lead single 'Time To Wake Up'!
The album is about the thin line between reality and fantasy. I wrote ‘Time To Wake Up’ when I felt too drowned in fantasy.

Please tell us a bit about your creative process when it comes to songwriting?
It’s different with every song, but I usually need one little idea to get inspired, it can be one line of lyrics, a hook of a melody, or a groove. I write my songs on the piano.
Who or what influences your sound?
The main ones for the last couple of years are Radiohead, Bjork, James Blake, and Massive Attack.
& Lastly, what can fans expect from Hila Rabby next?
I’m working on some new music that goes deeper and further in my musical vision, so stay tuned!
