INTERVIEW: LONG TERM PARKING

Long Term Parking are an expansive musical project by three veteran musicians looking to broaden their horizons. The trio have came together and decided to form this group and have since released their debut album 'Luxury Luxury' with brilliant psych rock single 'KingE.'. We sat down with this highly interesting and unique project and unravelled everything about them, exclusively for FLEX.

Hey Long Term Parking, welcome to FLEX How are you?

Great, working on the new album, enjoying it a lot!

Could you describe your sound & style for any of our readers who may not have heard of you before?

Little bit of alternative, bit of hip-hop, rock, unique ;-) Give us a fun fact about yourself we can’t find from Google/social media! We didn't rehearse until the debut album was out. It was all done at our homes in covid time. Please tell us all about your new album and lead single 'King E.'! Its name is Luxury Luxury which describes our main feeling when working on it. Thanks to covid we had enough time and space to do music just on our own with no expectations, just for fun and searching the new ways of our musical expression. That was the real Luxury. King E. tells a story of a man preferring his inner life, ignoring everything around him incl. his family more and more and don't realising that at all...

Please tell us a bit about your creative process when it comes to songwriting? It starts with silence. Absorption and waiting for the right moment. But now we're in the creative phase. We're working on about 20 new songs and it's challenging. As always. It's recharging and killing you at the same time. Fortunately, the direction we're going to take is starting to take shape. Who or what influences your sound? We are influenced by music and people who are not afraid to cross boundaries and step out of their comfort zone. That's what's closest to us and we don't care if it's hip hop, alternative or pop. & Lastly, what can fans expect from Long Term Parking next? New album - more childish, easy, relaxed and joy songs! That's the direction :)
