Tell us about yourself as an artist?
I’m Rare.
What got you into music?
It’s in my blood it chose me.
How would you describe your sound?
It’s a shape shifter that changes with the 12 notes.
What is your favourite venue to play?
I feel it’s too early to say but energy wise I’d look to headline Wembley
stadium one day as it’s the Hometown obviously, so definitely got to get done.
Eminem and Dr Dre inspired me when I saw them live here a couple of years
ago too.
Who would you most like to collaborate with?
My gut would straight up say different versions of myself in all honesty. But
outside of the creative bubble I’d say in the UK currently; Big FlowDan, J-Hus
and Lewis Capaldi.
From the US, I’d go with a young lady called H.E.R, Playboi Carti and The
Weeknd. As for the rest of the world, the list could go on.
What is your creative process? And do you think it differs from others?
My process is different every time. Sometimes it’s more short lived than others
but in the end I get to where I want to go with the idea. Whether it differs from
others I can’t speak on that too tough other than saying that my experiences
are definitely my own and that’s all I need to focus on most of the time.
