The second track from his forthcoming debut EP, Jack Howard’s ‘Another Day’ comes hot on the heels of the artist seeing a feature on BBC Radio 1’s Future Pop. The new track finds itself at the crossroads of a range of genres, feeling like a fusion of the best the UK has to offer.
Rich drum rhythms paired with subtle but vibrant bass grooves, gorgeous guitar tones cascading through gentle arpeggios and plucky synths inject an otherworldly presence. Surrounded by all these entrancing elements is Jack’s vocals. Raw, bright, comforting, each word is an earworm. It’s no wonder people are holding him in high regards as the new project emerges.
Jack adds, “Another Day is about hope. This song is about someone I love overcoming addiction. When I was younger sometimes all I needed was hope that the sun would come up and a new day would begin. Even now I still wake up extra early so I can sit in the silence of day break. When I wrote this song I needed to be hopeful that it was all going to be okay. I hope this song gives you a little bit of me!”
Originally hailing from Portsmouth, but now calling London home, Jack Howard has already garnered a reputation with feats like selling out Prince Albert and Colours Hoxton and finding space at The Great Escape and Wild Paths festivals.
