Hailing from Orange County, California, Jei-Rynn is creating a resurgence in grunge and pop punk music. Following his debut as a solo artist in 2019, he has left a trail of hard-hitting and acclaimed releases in his wake. With his tracks breaking through to international radio stations and the StoneBridge remix of ‘bloodsuckers’ even peaking at No.10 on the UK Commercial Pop Chart, Jei-Rynn is well on the way to cementing his reputation as an exciting rising star.

An atmospheric acoustic introduction sparks the track to life before Jei-Rynn’s vocals steal the show. Tension slowly creeps into the foundation of “maybe?” before exploding into a fully fledged pop-punk anthem. The introspective track explores themes of self-scrutiny and self-discovery whilst also noting how fundamentally important it is to let loose.

Discussing his latest release, Jei-Rynn shares, I wrote ‘maybe?’ upon feeling the weight of my own mortality, as well as all the fun existential questions that come with that. In this song, I was delving into the absurdity of life, and the absurdity of people and their inability to extract themselves from their own idioms. It’s a song about ego, and about being suffocated by other people’s egos as well.”
