A stunning new offering that explores love and partnership, seasoned artist Jerry Jean teams up with vocalist Elia Esparza on new track 'Pacific Coast'.
Jerry's career has taken him to impressive places, including Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, MTV Unplugged, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the United Nations, and The Bitter End, not to mention performances with artists such as Florence + The Machine and Boyz II Men.
'Pacific Coast' brings plucks of an acoustic guitar to an organic drum beat that sits beneath Jerry's impassioned vocals. The track is endlessly cinematic and Elia Esparza brings a contrasting, soulful element to create a moving duet.
Speaking about the release Jerry tells us: “Pacific Coast is a classic, heartfelt duet about partnership through thick and thin. It was inspired by the relationship I have with my wife and the restorative, eternal beauty of California’s Pacific Coast (our favorite place).
Joining me on vocals is Elia Esparza (The Voice, USA; La Voz, México). I was searching for a female vocal to complement my tone, and Elia's sound was an ideal match. We connected on Instagram and I sent her the track. I was thrilled when I heard her honest, soulful (with a touch of country) vocal performance back on the recording. Some of my longtime musician collaborators also recorded remotely on the song and created an organic, evergreen vibe for our voices to glide on. The string section consists of myself recording many layered takes on my violin to create an orchestral quality. Mixing was handled by the brilliant Bryan Cook (One Republic, U2).”
'Pacific Coast' is a gliding, moving song that is simply unmissable.
