Australian alt-R&B artist JVLY (pronounced July) continues to build anticipation for his upcoming 'Sunder' EP with the release of his latest single 'Walked The Sun'.
The track arrives following a trio of acclaimed singles, 'South', 'Locum', and 'Drowning In My Room', that have steadily cemented JVLY as one of the most compelling voices emerging from the Australian alternative scene. With 'Walked The Sun', he delivers a richly atmospheric offering full of lush textures, warm synths, and his signature airy vocals, encapsulating the dreamy tone that defines his sonic world.
“This song is the final puzzle piece of Sunder,” says JVLY. “It’s about realising that the loop you were stuck in isn’t there anymore. It’s not that the loop was bad — maybe you needed it to get that perspective. One line sums that up for me: ‘A honey sky paved the way, oh now I see, some pictures don’t need more paint.’ It’s that epiphany moment when clarity hits. And I really just wanted it to sound like sunset.”
