kleio’s latest single is ‘four’, their third release to date, and showcases a slightly different avenue to their sound, balancing infectiousness and stadium-filling singalong within their dark and hazy guitar tones. The lead vocals shimmer above a chanted layer beneath it, alongside the fast-paced, rhythmic drums, steady bass grooves and non-stop guitar licks, building the track up to an anthemic climax, that feels as raw and natural as ever for the Irish rockers. All surrounding, exciting, yet calm through the headphones, there’s no doubt it would roar on stage.
Luke, band member, explains, ”When writing the song 'four' we really had our live audience in mind. We began our playing career performing a mix of originals and covers and always wanted to have one of our songs sang back to us the way audiences would with the covers. 'four' has become that exact song, one of our favourite moments as a band so far was playing 'four' to a sold-out crowd who completely took over in Belfast, I had to give up singing the latter half of the song because of the noise.”
Quickly rising to prominence as a must-see up-and-coming band, with relentlessly nostalgic indie atmospheres that call back to the early 2000s whilst remaining new and unique, kleio’s debut was marked by a spectacular live run, embarking on a tour across Ireland spanning ten venues in ten consecutive nights.
In 2024, the band has continued this pace into their releases, still performing alongside their singles, gracing the stages of Manchester and beyond, making the year an exciting continuance of their journey so far.
