Brighton-based newcomers Larlin have made a striking entrance with their debut single 'Favours', a raw yet uplifting alt-rock anthem that tackles self-doubt head-on. Fronted by Sheffield-born songwriter Maryann Hoar, the band weaves melancholic lyricism through punchy, high-energy production crafted by Lewis Foord (Wet Leg, LYRA) and Cameron Nesbitt (Lovejoy, James Marriott).

'Favours' started life on a tiny electric keyboard, inspired by the crushing feeling of being a burden. But it grew into something louder and brighter, with Hoar delivering a powerful reminder: “That’s not real.” It’s a cathartic anthem for overthinkers everywhere, offering a blast of emotional clarity wrapped in restless, anthemic rock.

Larlin’s music balances vulnerability and defiance, promising big things from a band that knows how to turn doubt into noise—and joy.
