As the swirling synth noise and subtle ambience give way to grooving bass tones and steady acoustic guitar rhythm, LDRDO's latest single 'Doing My Best' seems to strike a balance between solemn thoughts and bright optimism. The rose-tinted, apologetic love begins to peak through the clouds in his words, LDRDO floating from moment to moment, not entirely sure of himself, but comfortable in the knowledge that he's getting there. Gleaming instrumentation aside, the gorgeously fragile themes are emotive and bewitching, able to warm your heart and break it with the same defenceless honesty.
LDRDO explains, “As the second track from ‘On The Road’, the journey has just begun and ‘Doing My Best’ serves as a poignant reminder of the human experience. Amidst the highs and lows, we embrace vulnerability and resilience, acknowledging that we’re all doing our best. Through self-love and forgiveness, we navigate life’s twists and turns with compassion, accepting our journey and whatever it brings.”
LDRDO is the project of music producer and songwriter David Levi, who hails from Tel Aviv. Bringing Turkish and Greek influences to a sound filled with soulful funky grooves and contemporary atmospheres, he creates an organic musical experience that captivates listeners. Levi believes music has the power to transport listeners to new realms, giving the vivid experiences of getting lost in new landscapes.
After the success of his debut EP Lost In The Fire, LDRDO now looks ahead to his debut album On The Road, a concept album, inspired by Jack Kerouac's book and Levi's own semi-autobiographical journey, set to combine American road stories with Middle Eastern culture.
