Lilise, the UK's newest pop sensation, is back with another soul-stirring single, "You Don't Own Me". Following the success of her debut track, "Sweeter Than Poison", released on September 22nd, Lilise is proving she's here to stay in the music industry.
In "You Don't Own Me", Lilise lays bare her own experience of teenage heartbreak, a feeling of being so attached to someone that it becomes nearly impossible to let go. It's a song that explores the concept of control and how the lack of it can take a toll on one's mental health. It's a narrative many of us can relate to, making the song all the more powerful. Despite her budding music career, Lilise remains committed to her education. She recorded her debut self-titled EP while studying for her A-Levels and working towards pursuing clinical psychology at university. Her dedication to her artistic vision is unwavering and we can expect a lot from his debut EP.
Don't miss your chance to see Lilise perform live. She has two exciting gigs on the horizon:
December 18th, 2023, at Iron Horse in Sidcup
January 23rd, 2024, at Bedford in Balham
