Love Ghost and Cinnamon Babe recently teamed up for the nu-metal dynamite single ‘Do You Like Me Now?’. Opening with a distorted riff and rippling bass tones, the two instruments set the tone for the firework of sound that is set to come next. Love Ghost’s vocals immediately cry out with frustration and grit, catapulting audiences into an energised first verse before leading them into a golden ethereality for the pre-chorus. Filled with energy, the artist sees red, followed by a similarly aggressive performance from Cinnamon Babe, fierce and fiery in her half-spoken word, half-sung performance. Filled with sloshy, fist-clenched drumming and unstoppable riffs, each second of the song is a momentous experience, charging into each section with an invasion of their haters' words.
Love Ghost adds, "Stormi (Cinnamon Babe) and I wanted to send a love letter to all our haters- that was the inspiration.”
Love Ghost, a band obsessed with the pained themes of love and death, blends alt-rock, grunge, metal and pop punk, exploring mental health and trauma with poetic emo lyricism. Their genre-rich and collaboration-rich discography reflects a fearless attitude towards the challenges faced by lead songwriter Finnegan Bell.
Selected to play Germany’s Rockpalast festival and broadcast nationwide, Love Ghost has also toured globally, spanning four continents. Recently, the band have been expanding their presence in Mexico, with live shows and collaborations seeing a steady rise to the top, receiving acclaim from the press along the way. Finn adds, “These songs, to me, are really all threaded together by time. We are in an insane period of history, and therefore we are writing some insane music.”
