Los Angeles-based producer Lucian has a broad palette of musical skills and boundless inspiration. He began writing and producing music in 2016, starting with a string of buzzing remixes and singles, all while honing his production skills behind the scenes. To date, his biggest releases have been reworks of Black Coast’s “TRNDSTTR” and Alessia Cara’s “Here”, which have collectively amassed over 200 million streams on Soundcloud, Youtube, and Spotify, and have been praised among the likes of Complex, Billboard, and more.
Lucian artfully weaves through a fusion of influences and genres from electronic to hip-hop to indie-pop. His new single, “Fools”, featuring singer-songwriter Bella Musser, is a deep dive into relationships and how things might play out differently when both sides choose to fully let each other go after a breakup.
Accompanied by a hard-hitting, lo-fi instrumental, and an inspired vocal performance from Bella Musser, “Fools” is a result of the evolution of Lucian’s potent production style as he starts to wander into more unknown and experimental territory.
“Fools is about wondering what could be in a romantic involvement if both sides just let each other go,” he explains.
