Luzzey releases new summer anthem ‘Toxic Affection’

After being born in Guyana, artist Luzzey spent his early life taking on the culture and sound of The Americas and The Islands before moving to the UK in his adolescence and taking on new sounds. During his career, he has supported big names like AJ Tracey, Dappy and Ghetts as well as headlining a sold out show.

Luzzey’s latest offering, ‘Toxic Affection’, gives us a theme song for the summer with a smooth melody, enchanting vocal sample and clean drum-pattern. The relaxed energy gets your body moving as you lean back into the track. Luzzey’s vocal performance is sleek, gentle and entices you into the music.

On the new release he says “The process of making the record was extremely organic and smooth. I produced the music in my kitchen and my bro DC came over to have a few drinks and chat about life over some spiced rum and apple juice. Next thing you know, we were writing about our experiences and how things are in modern day dating. How everyone “doesn’t want to take the L” so everyone is keeping everyone on their toes, when the reality is 9/10 times you don’t want to be the first one to throw the exclusive card. It’s all a game of Toxic Affection.”

Luzzey’s current efforts are going into building up his debut project, one that aims to capture the diversity in both his musical and life experiences. With this project on the way there’s many more exciting things to come from this artist as he continues to win fans over with his distinct sound and story.
