Opening with a plucky synths and divine vocals that set the scene, MAX RAD’s new track ‘Samuel’ is a track that blends the high-octane with the ethereal. Instrumentation is ever expanding, with soft hums growing into glittery pads and new melodies continuing to add more voices to the choir. The drums are non-stop in their punchiness, with pumping kicks being accented with dynamic tops that include intricate rhythms in amongst are wider driving force. The vocals are catchy and subtle, never detracting from the rest of the production but being laced with plenty of interesting techniques and an airy feeling.
He adds, “'Samuel' is about friendship and being the support to someone who needs help. A wayward friend that pops up in their times of need and then disappears again.”
